Janice Hamby is a native Cumberland Countian, and has been an active real estate broker since 1977. She was the owner and principal broker of Raintree Properties of Tennessee from 1989 until November, 2004, when she purchased Third Tennessee Realty and Associates, LLC,operating this as sole owner. Also, in 2006, Janice established Third Tennessee Auction Company at the same location as Third Tennessee Realty on North Main Street.
Janice has been an active member of the Realtor Association, serving locally in various leadership roles as Association Officer, Association Director, State Director, as well as chairing and serving on numerous standing committees.
When the Crossville Assocation of Realtors merged and became a Chapter of the Knoxville Area Association of Realtors in 2004, Janice was appointed to serve as Chapter Chairperson and a Director on the Board of Directors, serves as a Director on the State Association, and also serves as National Assocation of Realtors Political Coordinator (liason) for U.S. Congressman Lincoln Davis. Janice has always been a strong advocate for community growth and community service, and is involved in various community organizations. She was an instructor at Tennessee Technology Center for over 10 years, teaching Real Estate Principals and various Continued Education Courses both in Cumberland and Fentress counties. She is a director for the Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Allocation Committee for the United Fund, and is a team captain for the Cumberland County Cancer Society Relay for Life.
